I've done two other Beth Moore Bible studies (Esther, and Paul) and they were both very good. (This review should apply to the whole package -- the homework book, along with the video sessions and small group discussion that takes place weekly. Every lesson was not like that, so I still liked the book. Last August we started a bible study on James one of the books of the bible. What good is the deeds we do, the songs we sing, the life we lead if our faith has no real meaningful relationship with our one true Savior. I loved it! The author, BETH MOORE, is a treasure of knowledge, inspiration, and has the ability to make scripture and bible history relate to her readers lives.JAMES: MERCY TRIUMPHS is one of the better bible study/small group curriculum in recent memory. Some weeks of the lesson are interesting and thought provoking, and some weeks are brutally dry. This study has changed my life. I love her energy and enthusiasm.

Beth Moore is the author of this study. Once you get to know both the man and the Book of James, you’ll never be the same again. I like that she didn't act holier than thou and admitted the areas she needs to work on too. James, Jesus' own brother, started out as a skeptic.

At first, I thought that James' letter was extremely harsh but after awhile you begin to realize that his letter was written for people of a different time period/culture and he is just short and to the point! Beth is focused on teaching women all over the world and is known and respected wherever she goes. But, truly; I am totally into James. I dislike studies that lean heavily on building lessons on the importance of one English word. There are DVD’s that go with this that I enjoyed too because of some funny stories she shares from her experience to make her points.

James is faith in action - enter with care and great joy.l am always amazed at the insight I gain from doing a Beth Moore Bible study....I do it at a much slower pace and download the videos myself...I find I am able to "digest" it and think about it more...I loved the different levels of intensity she offers with this study and including her daughter in this study. The first and last chapters are a little dull compared to the middle chapters, but necessary to lay the foundation for James' life before and after he wrote the book. The paper is cheap and the print is light - translation, I paid WAY too much for this workbook. For this study her daughter Melissa helped write the study. James Mercy Triumphs by Beth Moore is such a great in-depth Bible study on the book of James that I was sorry to see it end.
